“Petals And Pollen” was inspired by a hot summer-like day that was sandwiched between two days of snow! Daydreaming about the smell of summer air, the colors of the flowers and the thin film of yellow pollen that forms on everything, letting me know that Spring has arrived, my mind wandered. I remembered my recent Christmas visit with my family when we played dominoes and dice games. Then I suddenly remembered that when I was a little girl and we could not go out for recess, we played jacks! Both of these memories appear in this piece…I will leave it you to find them!
